So What's Your Pitch? When writing sales copy, I have four big things on my mind.
- Describe the features fully - no quick comparisons without establishing what I'm talking about.
- Cap each group of features with a benefit, to build excitement.
- Don't get unrealistic. Anyone who promises the sun, moon and stars, is a recognizable liar.
- You can tell the reader they're smart if they buy - but never imply they're dumb if they don't.
Sales copy clients get best results after serving the copywriter a plate of chewy facts about the benefits and features. Testimonial "Excellent service ... Very creative writer and an expert in sales copy. Very reliable and delivers on his promises." - Peter Khoury, M.B.A. and Certified Life Coach
