Citybeat Radio is run by close friends. I wrote this press release to announce some good news. “Musical Meteors and Masters of Production, Club Artists/Producers D-Unity are Just Getting Startedâ€
Fife, Scotland, UK, July 11, 2008, UK-based trance, electro and house internet radio station Citybeat Radio (www.citybeatradio.org) recently interviewed club producers and mixmasters D – Unity about their production origins, works in progress, and what makes them tick.
D – Unity's recording label, Beat Therapy Records / Dark Room Records, began life in 2006 as a labor of love by Damians Jacuk and Strak and Elektroheadz. In the Citybeat interview, they say their biggest inspiration has been each other. “From day one we inspired each other. We did not directly want to look up to one artist. We wanted to develop a unique sound so that we stand out with our productions.â€
True fanatics of the music industry, D - Unity says their personal hobbies are 98% work-related. The journey so far has been thoroughly rewarding, with the group having already signed all the artists they first set out to work with and new projects flowing on a constant basis.
Just a few of D – Unity's latest releases as artists can be found on their just-released Armada Music EP, Mark Knight's new CD Tool Room Knight, and a featured track on Armin Only DVD which drops in mid-July. A more-comprehensive list of projects was named in the interview along with several others the team is keeping top-secret for now.
Asked about the confluence of artistry and production efforts, D - Unity says they see the two spheres as mutually linked and equally necessary for any musician looking to advance in the industry.
Updates about D - Unity's work can be found on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/1dunity and http://www.myspace.com/beattherapyrecords. Information about Beat Therapy Records / Dark Room Records upcoming releases and where to purchase them can be found at http://www.beattherapyrecords.com. D - Unity's progressive house tracks are well-loved and oft-played on Citybeat Radio.
